Frequently Asked Questions

Informations for new models

We are frequently asked What does it cost to become a model and How much should I have to pay an agency to take me on their books? The answer to the second question is nothing No agency should charge a model purely to be represented. Agencies make their income from the commission, which they take from fees earned from jobs. No reputable agency charges models to just to be on their books, nor do they charge for interviews or assessments. The answer to the first question is more complicated. There are certain items, which you will need to acquire in order to become a model. The most obvious is, of course, professional photographs of yourself. However, the photographs themselves can be quite expensive and are not sent out by agencies, as clients do not return them. Instead the photographs are printed on to what is termed an index card or card which also carries the models details, measurements etc. These cards are then circulated to photographic studios and advertising agencies. So, the first step in presenting yourself as a model is to arrange a photo shoot and information on this will be given to you at your interview.

Once you have done a photo shoot and your card has been printed, the agency will then arrange for you to be represented in the agency model book and on the agency web site.
